Submission requirements:

• All queries should be sent to queries@themcveighagency.com. Please do not query Mark directly.  We do NOT accept hard copies. We try to be green!
• In the subject line of your e-mail, please write: “Query,” then the type of manuscript (e.g. YA, MG, PB, Adult, Non-Fiction), and then the title of your book.
• The body of your e-mail should consist of your query letter, followed by the first 20 pages of your manuscript (for fiction) or your full proposal (for non-fiction).  Do not add your manuscript as an attachment. If we are interested in reading more, we will request that you e-mail us the full manuscript.
• Please note that unsolicited queries sent directly to Mark will be deleted unread.
• Please keep your query brief. An introductory paragraph, a short pitch about your book (two paragraphs is fine), and a concise bio is perfect.
• We are still working our way through a backlog of queries so we appreciate your patience and understanding.
